Celebrating Multicultural Weddings with Expertise and Passion

At Enticing Events, we are passionate about working with couples from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. Over the past ten years, we’ve had the privilege of being part of beautiful weddings from around the world. Our team is dedicated to understanding and honouring the traditions that make your wedding uniquely yours – whether it’s a Hindu, Jewish, Nigerian wedding, or beyond. We’re here to ensure every step is handled with respect, precision, and a deep understanding of the meaning behind every ritual.

Hindu Weddings

Hindu weddings are a beautiful blend of sacred rituals and cultural richness. We are well-versed in the traditions of various regions, including Gujarati, South Indian, Bengali, and more. Our team works closely with your Pandit or Priest to ensure that your ceremony is a true reflection of your heritage while respecting the customs passed down through generations.

Jewish Weddings

Jewish weddings are deeply rooted in centuries-old traditions, each carrying rich symbolism and significance. From selecting a Kosher caterer to finding the perfect Chuppah and Kippot, we’re here to guide you through every step, ensuring your wedding is not only beautiful but profoundly meaningful.

Nigerian Weddings

Nigerian weddings are vibrant, joyful, and full of energy. Whether you’re having a Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, or other regional wedding, we understand the importance of the unique customs that make these celebrations so special. Our team has experience coordinating Nigerian weddings and ensuring every tradition is honoured. We are often involved in both the Nigerian and registry wedding ceremonies, handling all the logistics and ensuring a smooth flow of events.

Hindu Weddings: Rich in Tradition, Spirituality, and Celebration

Hindu weddings are a beautiful blend of sacred rituals and cultural richness. We are well-versed in the traditions of various regions, including Gujarati, South Indian, Bengali, and more. Our team works closely with your Pandit or Priest to ensure that your ceremony is a true reflection of your heritage while respecting the customs passed down through generations.

Some of the key moments we help bring to life include:

The Jaan/Baraat: The Groom’s grand entrance on horseback, accompanied by vibrant music from dhols, dancing, flares and family celebrations.
Milni: The coming together of the two families, a beautiful symbol of unity and joy.
Ganesh Puja: A prayer to Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, ensuring blessings for a smooth and joyful marriage.
Kanya Aagman: The Bride’s entrance to the Mandap, where she is escorted by her family, with the Antarpat cloth covering the Groom’s eyes until the moment he sees his Bride.
Kanyadaan: The sacred act of the Bride’s parents giving her away to the Groom, a poignant and emotional moment.
Varmala or Jaimala: The Bride and Groom exchange garlands as a symbol of acceptance.
Havan: The fire ceremony, where offerings of ghee are made to invoke blessings from the Gods. We assist the Pandit in preparing the ghee, which is poured into the sacred fire.
Agni Puja and Mangal Pheras: The couple walks around the fire, offering prayers to Agni (the fire god) while making vows of love and commitment.
Saptapadi: The Seven Steps around the fire, where the couple takes vows representing the foundation of their marriage.
Kansar Bhakshan: The couple shares a sweet dish, typically made by the Bride’s mother, symbolising prosperity.
Mangalsutra and Sindoor: The Groom ties the Mangalsutra (a sacred necklace) around the bride’s neck and applies Sindoor (vermilion) to her hair parting.
Koda Kodi (or Aeki Beki): A fun and playful game where the Bride and Groom participate in a bowl of water, milk, and decorative petals—always filled with laughter! We have often help set up the stools and bowl with water, milk and petals.
Vidaii: A tearful and emotional farewell as the Bride says goodbye to her family and begins her new life with her husband. It is always a great moment to see the coconut break under the tyre (once the Bridesmaids let the car leave!)

We understand the complexity of organising a Hindu wedding – Mehndi, Sangeet, Haldi, meals, room transitions, and more. We can handle all of this for you, ensuring your special celebration is smooth, stress-free, and full of joy.

Jewish Weddings: Traditions That Connect Generations

Jewish weddings are deeply rooted in centuries-old traditions, each carrying rich symbolism and significance. From selecting a Kosher caterer to finding the perfect Chuppah and Kippot, we’re here to guide you through every step, ensuring your wedding is not only beautiful but profoundly meaningful.

Some of the key moments we help bring to life include:

The Tisch: A joyful pre-ceremony celebration where the Groom and his closest friends gather for a heartfelt and lively moment before the formalities begin. It’s a time of camaraderie and excitement, setting the tone for the day ahead.
The Badeken: This moving ritual occurs just before the Bride walks down the aisle. The Groom veils his Bride, symbolising his devotion and commitment to her. It’s a deeply personal moment that speaks to the couple’s bond and the Groom’s promise to protect and cherish his Bride.
The Sheva Brachot: The Seven Blessings are a cornerstone of the Jewish wedding ceremony, recited by close family and friends to celebrate the couple’s union and invoke blessings for their future together. These blessings express gratitude for the creation of life, the joy of love, and the sanctity of marriage. They culminate in the final blessing, followed by the Groom stamping on the glass—a dramatic and joyful moment that marks the celebration with a resounding “Mazal Tov!”
Yichud: After the ceremony, the couple shares a quiet, private moment together in a room where they reflect on their new life as husband and wife. This time of intimacy is an essential pause before the festive celebrations begin.

As the day progresses, we love to watch the energy shift from the ceremony to the lively celebration. The couple’s grand entrance to the reception, accompanied by music and dancing, is a jubilant highlight. The speeches, the family blessings, and the spirited dances come together to create an atmosphere of pure joy and celebration. From the heartfelt toasts to the lively Hora, every moment becomes a part of the beautiful story of the couple’s new life together.
We are honoured to be part of these treasured traditions and to ensure every step of your Jewish wedding is carried out with care, respect, and love.

Nigerian Weddings: A Celebration of Culture, Tradition, and Joy

Nigerian weddings are vibrant, joyful, and full of energy. Whether you’re having a Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, or other regional wedding, we understand the importance of the unique customs that make these celebrations so special. Our team has experience coordinating Nigerian weddings and ensuring every tradition is honoured. We are often involved in both the Nigerian and registry wedding ceremonies, handling all the logistics and ensuring a smooth flow of events.

Some of the key moments we help bring to life include:

The Gele Ladies: We are always in awe of the Gele ladies who create stunning headpieces. The intricate art of Gele is a vital part of Nigerian weddings, adding beauty and grandeur to the ceremony.
The Money Spraying: One of the most exciting and energetic parts of Nigerian weddings! Guests celebrate the couple by spraying money as they enter the venue, creating an atmosphere of excitement and festivity.
The Talking Drummer: The rhythm of the talking drummer is an essential part of the ceremony, setting the tone for the entire celebration and signalling the arrival of the families. It adds an amazing cultural touch that resonates through the venue.
The Groom and Bride’s Procession: The Groom and Bride’s processions are often lively and full of music, dancing, and joy. The Groom may be asked to start his dance again, creating a fun and interactive moment that involves everyone.
Prostration or Kneeling: In Nigerian weddings, especially among the Yoruba people, prostration is a key act of respect. The Groom may lie or kneel before the Bride’s family to show his reverence for them, which is a beautiful and meaningful part of the ceremony.
The Traditional Wedding Gifts: We help set up beautifully curated gift tables, where the Bride and Groom receive traditional gifts from their families and guests. These gifts can include everything from cash to cultural items, and they are an important part of the ceremony.
The Exchange of Wedding Rings and the Bridal Dance: After the vows, the couple exchanges wedding rings, followed by a traditional bridal dance that’s always full of energy and joy.
The Traditional Nigerian Food: No Nigerian wedding is complete without a rich feast of delicious food. From Jollof rice to Suya, guests are treated to a variety of traditional dishes that make the celebration even more memorable.
The Alaga: The Alaga (or wedding MC) plays a vital role in Nigerian weddings, and we work closely with these amazing professionals to ensure the ceremony runs smoothly and that guests are kept engaged throughout.
